About FeNO

FeNO, also known as fractional exhaled nitric oxide, is pronounced “fee-no.” Nitric oxide is a gas that occurs naturally in the environment, but it is also made by the body when the airways are inflamed. Since the 1990s, FeNO testing has been employed in the diagnosis and treatment of asthma.
